Democracia USA

Democracia USA (D-USA) is a national Hispanic non-partisan civic engagement, voter empowerment, leadership training, and community organizing program. Democracia USA was originally launched in 2004 by People for the American Way Foundation and registered 72,000 new voters in Florida that year. In 2006, the project expanded to Arizona, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania and was credited by the Associated Press with generating 70% of all new, non-partisan voter registrations in the Hispanic community. Now in its fourth year, D-USA has become one of the most effective national civic engagement and leadership training programs with operations in five states.
